Epidemic Intelligence and Risk Management Cycle - Paris, France. 20th to 25th April 2015
As part of MediPIET training activities, the training of trainers (ToT) provide participants and opportunity to refresh knowledge and skills in mentoring, supervision and methods for prevention and control of communicable diseases, as well as specific topics selected by the participating countries.
This specific course will focus on Epidemic Intelligenence, Event Based Surveillance, Risk Assessment and Risk Communication.

The objectives of the course are:
- To understand the principles and process of epidemic intelligence including Event Based Surveillance and Indicator Based Surveillance and the planning of early warning systems.
- Understand the Risk Management Cycle: event detection, risk assessment (rapid and formal), control & preventive measures, evaluation and monitoring, risk communication (to different target groups).
- Harmonize training contents and methodology and share a common vision for Module 4 regarding Epidemic Intelligence and Risk Management Cycle.
- Strengthen the network among field epidemiologists participating in the MediPIET training activities
