Training of Trainers on “Emergency Preparedness” in Lebanon

Beirut will host for the second time an activity of MediPIET. In this occasion, the three-day Training of Trainers on “Emergency Preparedness” will be held from September 25th to 27th in the Radisson Blu Martinez, aimed to understand the principles and process of preparedness to emergencies and the importance of inter-sectorial collaboration.

Vinciane Sizaire, MediPIET Coordinator for the Black Sea countries, will lead the workshop that will gather in Lebanon specialists and facilitators that will get knowledge of the International framework of emergency preparedness (IHR, Global Health Security, Sendai framework…), understand the concepts of generic and specific preparedness plans, risk mapping and the principles of implementing Simulation Exercises.

The faculty is composed by Paul Riley, from the ECDC, Paula Vasconcelos, from the Ministry of Health of Portugal, Frédéric Pagès, from Santé Publique France, Gilles Poumerol, from France, Miljan Rancic, from the Institute Batut in Serbia, Vesna Velikj, from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Fernando Simon, from the Ministry of Health of Spain, and Hala Abou Naja and Nada Ghosn from MoH Lebanon.
